Estela Hyde was born in Mexico City, where she began a career in business administration. During her long commutes from her small town of Coacalco to the City on subways and taxi cabs, she day-dreamed about becoming a painter. Doodling here and there, Estela’s art has developed into a summary of lurking ideas, ideals and thoughts released on canvas, paper, objects, colors and anything willing to be transformed. She believes art is the visual relationship of the human senses with the individual’s soul. Estela currently resides in the city of Los Angeles with her daughter Alexandra and son Jacob.
