Edward Padilla is a working professional actor and teaches and coaches acting at CASA 0101 for youth and adults. He has directed work in Los Angeles and San Diego, including several productions at CASA 0101, Bilingual Foundation of the Arts (Readers Theater), and the San Diego Lyceum (Teatro Izcalli’s Juan More Beer). As an actor, he has performed extensively on stage, including work at Bilingual Foundation of the Arts, Grupo de Teatro Sinergia, Ethical Arts Company, The Blank Theatre Company, and La Jolla Playhouse. He was in the workshop productions of the stage musicals Sister Act (Pasadena Playhouse) and Zorro (El Portal Theater/Zorro Productions). He graduated with honors from the USC School of Theatre where he received his BA in Theater and the David Dukes Scholarship for Acting. In 2001, he received the Humanism Award from Childrens’ Hospital Los Angeles for his work for the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergy/Children’s Aids Center.
