Shruti Ghosh is a Kathak dancer choreographer teacher from Kolkata, India. She obtained Masters degree in Film Studies from Jadavpur University. She has obtained Masters degree also in Kathak dance. Shruti has collaborated with various artists on dance, film and theatre based projects and has performed in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and London. She worked as dance teacher in Embassy of India in Kazakhstan for two years and performed in various cities of Kazakhstan. After completing her tenure there, she has recently relocated to kolkata, her hometown in India. She publishes articles on film music and dance in various journals and anthologies.

Statement

A dance choreographic piece by Shruti Ghosh called HOPE, based on Kathak, an Indian classical dance form, where Shruti has tried to portray HOPE in its many hues during this trying times of Covid-19 pandemic across the globe. May this work spread love and compassion among us in time of crisis.
