Exhibit Guidelines
The ‘Prayers’ Digital Exhibit format is limitless and truly can be all inclusive. Positive works are welcome. All artists are welcome. All collaborators are welcome. All world community members are welcome
All submissions are due by December 18th biannually. Everyone is encouraged to use the Artist Agreement & Submission Form to submit their agreement and works. This form is all you need to submit yourself and your work. All mediums are welcome. Miniature / small size encouraged.
The ‘Prayers’ Digital Exhibit requires Artists submit high resolution color accurate jpeg images. A maximum of 4 pieces may be submitted at one time.
Any videos submitted have no minimums or a strict maximum, but we also ask mindfulness and suggest a max limit of 27 minutes.
Local artists per locality can choose their own causes to collectively donate to. Artists may choose their own percentage of charitable contribution from 10% to 100%.
All Artists must submit a self Image, Biography, Artist’s Statement, & Contact Information that we may provide your collectors and followers, including but not limited to: emails, web urls / links and social media links and/or apps.
For physical exhibition & events, unless acquired, sold or donated, Artists own their own works & all works are returned to their respective artist or collector at the end of each exhibit. For digital exhibits, artists must notify to opt out of exhibitions.
ARTIST AGREEMENT
Dimension & Requirements. The ‘Prayers’ Digital Exhibit requires Artists Submissions as high resolution color accurate jpeg images with a max of 4 pieces submitted at one time. The spirit of the Prayers Exhibit calls for small / miniature pieces. The nature of digital exhibits allows for no real strict limitation in size. Artists should still be mindful about shipping their pieces if pieces are sold as well as the event of a physical exhibition.
In the event of physical exhibition: Art pieces must be on the small side. We don’t like to place strict limitations on our participants and just ask that you be mindful – mindful of the themes and that it is an inclusive exhibit: In previous years, you would have been sharing a wall space, spectacularly, with other artists. The digital exhibit has less limitations on size constraints. The usual suggestion is that “prayer” art pieces stick to being about the size of your hand. Emphasis on intimate, smaller pieces. All mediums are welcome.
Duration of Works on Loan, Manner of Exhibition. The Artist ()
hereby agrees to loan Prayers from LA and the work(s) listed & submitted below for the period of time the exhibit is active in participation with our Prayers Exhibit & Performance Benefit Event taking place online with openings occurring biannually on December 18th. Prayers from LA agrees to exhibit selected art works listed on the & submitted below, for our inclusive Prayers from LA Art Exhibit: Prayers Exhibit. The work(s) shall be kept on our server in digital format and shall not be removed from display until after the event is finished and exhibit closed or the artist opts out.
Delivery, Care, and Condition.
There are several options for artwork submission. Delivery of artwork only need take place upon sale of the art piece or in the event of a physical exhibit.
Option 1) Artwork may be submitted during any day at any of the week at any hour via our website Submissions Form prior to exhibit opening date of December 18th. This will give us time to ideally display your art piece(s) and your artist information.
Option 2) Artwork and information may be submitted to E-Mail: nataasja@prayersfromla.org. Or to the email of your respective curators collaborating with Prayers Exhibit. In the event of a physical exhibit, artwork is insured by the space, and representatives and assistants will exercise the utmost care in handling all works. Contact the organizer/curator, Nataasja Saint-Satyr, or your respective curator, who will arrange pick-up/shipment options.
For film and video art formats: Any video pieces submitted have no minimums with suggested limit to a max of 27 minutes. Please send links to your video files that you will exhibit via Artist Submission Form or via email to: nataasja@prayersfromla.org.
Framing and Installation.
The Artist agrees to deliver each work framed properly and/or ready for installation. The Artist needs submit the information for their art pieces including title, year, artist name, work medium/materials, dimensions, and sale price, if for sale. The Artist may list this information on the Information Sheet and attach an artist statement with bio to this page when submitting their work(s).
Sale.
Artwork for sale will be on a split and is accepted on a consignment basis; Proceeds will go to the artists or their curators directly and a 10-100% portion will go to the chosen community cause and benefit as a charitable donation. It the Artist’s representative or representative gallery has commission fees, factor this into your pricing as it will be taken from the Artist’s percentage. The Artist will receive a check for their portion of the sale no later than 2 weeks after completed payment on artwork has been received and work has been delivered to collector.
Sales will occur online through our Digital Exhibit web page. All artwork is protected from digital theft.
Artists are responsible for the shipping and delivery of their art pieces upon completed execution of sales. If any artist needs assistance, please contact and speak with Nataasja Saint-Satyr.
Reproduction.
The Artist agrees to the reproduction of exhibited artwork for publicity, educational, non-profit, and/or documentary purposes in all forms of media.
Expectation.
Prayers from LA / Prayers Exhibit will advertise and promote the work of the Artist leading up to and during the scheduled exhibition period. We will discuss with the artist possible activities during the run of the show that would help promote the work. Prayers from LA / Prayers Exhibit will mail invitations to our mailing list encouraging attendance. Sales of the Artist’s work will be actively sought and encouraged. In return, the Artist will supply Prayers from LA / Prayers Exhibit with a statement about his/her work encouraging a better understanding of the Artist’s work. The Artist will discuss with Prayers from LA / Prayers Exhibit any special events, discussions, or presentations that each agree would help promote the Exhibition. The Artist will mail/distribute invitations to his/her/their personal guests encouraging attendance. The Artist will attend the exhibit and special event openings on December 18th.
Donations.

If you are donating artwork and have pieces that are not only on loan for the exhibit, please contact Nataasja Saint-Satyr to arrange delivery and submissions. The donating Artist will be sent a separate letter pertaining to this charitable donation. Prayers from LA / Prayers Exhibit thank you for your support and participation. Prayers from LA / Prayers Exhibit would like to thank you for your participation in our exhibit and festival. Thank you for your voice and your support. You will receive a personal letter of thanks upon your full submission. The letter will also serve as our confirmation of your participation and our reception of your work(s), information, submission, and Statement/Bio. Thank you.
Intent to sign.
Signer must show clear intent to sign the agreement electronically. Signers can show intention by using a mouse to draw their signature or have the system generate a signature for them. Click the "Accept" button to confirm the signature.
